About KirbyG’s® Diner
Welcome to KirbyG’s® Diner, a family-owned, cook-to-order restaurant that has been serving the community since 2008. Originally known as Chevy's Diner, we trademarked the name KirbyG's in honor of R. Kirby Godsey—a former soda jerk and president of Mercer University—as a tribute to the 1950s. So, take the Pit Crew challenge and stroll down memory lane. Put a name to a face, a quote to a star & a character to a movie. For the very brave, you may even attempt to find them on our walls or on our menu. Patrons are treated to hand-pattied burgers such as Ike's "I Like Cheese" Burger, Ole Blue Eyes, and The Duke. And, if a hamburger isn't for you, diners will find mouth-watering delectables such as Desi's Fried Dill Pickles, Rock-a-Billy's Grilled Chicken, and the Whiz Kids Philly Cheesesteak. Topped off with a hand-spun shake or a cold microbrew, patrons will find that "The 50's Never Tasted Better!

Parking
Here is some helpful parking information for the City of McDonough. We have over 2,200 parking spaces available, so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot! It's a combination of free, business, and metered parking (see image 1 below)
To locate a designated parking areas, type "Parking in McDonough" into Google Maps or Apple Maps. (see image 2 below)
If you’re looking for free parking, you can find it south of Sloan St. along Macon and Griffin Street. Additionally, our local churches and the city parking deck provide free parking on both sides of the square, making it extremely convenient. (See image 1 below)
For those using metered parking, you’ll find it in front of the diner, around the square, and at the Tarpley parking lot off Hampton Street. The great news is that all metered parking is FREE AFTER 5 PM! And many business lots are also available for use after that time. (See image 1)

Gluten Free Items:
Wings, side salad (no croutons), kettle chips, sweet potato tots, and chili are available. I recommend trying the Bob's Burger Bowls, BB's Wings, Rockabilly Chicken, or the Honeymooner without the Texas Toast on the side. Please note that our fries have a very light bread coating. Some patrons have mentioned that the fries do not seem to bother them, but everyone is different. Please use your own discretion.

Some ice cream may have peanut butter. We have discontinued peanuts as a topping.
